We are pleased and proud to announce that, after eight years working at Partwell Group, Dan Ainsworth has recently been promoted to the role of Production Manager. Dan joined us in 2011 as an apprentice engineer: while studying for his HNC diploma he became a Team Leader. He completed his HND diploma course in June, which has led to his promotion to Production Manager.

As Production Manager, Dan is now much more involved with decision-making for the shop floor: Dan now develops and manages production budgets and his first key decision was to take on an apprentice. As well as planning production, Dan deals directly with customers and liaises with staff members to ensure that the shop floor runs smoothly from day to day.

Another important aspect of his work is holding SQCDP meetings each morning, ensuring that productivity is complete and on time. Issues are raised and discussed and engineers are supported in scheduling the coming day.

Dan's decision to take on a new apprentice is key to the growth of Partwell Group. 19-year-old Harry Davis was selected for the role of Apprentice Engineer and has been enrolled onto a four-year apprenticeship program at Training 2000. Harry will be responsible for programming and operating a CNC lathe, 3 axis and 5 axis machine to produce plastic components to a high standard, learning and developing skills in the reading of engineering drawings as he goes. With a passion for a career in engineering and as a great team player, Harry is sure to fit in well with the staff at Partwell Group.
