Polypropylene sheet is available in copolymer PP grade and homopolymer PP grade.
Polypropylene Copolymer PP
Polypropylene Copolymer is very tough and can be used down to about -40°C, but it mechanical properties and upper service temperatures is some 10% less than the homopolymer. It has a good impact strength, chemical resistance and light weight.
Typical applications of polypropylene copolyer include almost any kind of food industry application from abattoirs and fish processing plants to dairies, bakeries, food-packaging, medical supplies and bicycle supplies.
Polypropylene Homopolymer PP
Polypropylene Homopolymer sheet has high impact strength and is both rigid and resilient and is tough at room temperatures. It tends to become brittle below about -10 C. Homopolymer is stiffer but less tough than Copolymer.
Typical applications of Polypropylene Homopolymer include pharmaceutical products & point of sale.
Both grades of Polypropylene sheet can also be supplied as Polypropylene plastic parts precision engineered to your specifications.
