Agricultural & Tank Lining Plastic Parts

Plastic Sheet Natural Partwell

Agricultural & Tank Lining plastic is commonly used in chemical plants and to line tanks (pressure tanks, storage tanks, chemical containment tanks) and agricultural vehicles such as salt grit carriers.

There are many advantages of plastic material that makes it ideal for the apllication of handling, moving, measuring or storing of chemical and corrosive materials.

  • High resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents and hostile conditions
  • Good impact resistance
  • Abrasion resistant
  • Fire retardant grades available
  • Little or no moisture resistance
  • Serviceable temperatures range from -40° C to 100° C
  • Strong and rigid

Why plastic over metal? Plastic offers less oxidization than metal and does not rust

Corrosive resistant plastic materials (thermoplastics) available as:

  1. Sheet material
  2. Bespoke shaped or sized material (We have the latest 5-axis CNC machining
    capabilities)

Most common grade of thermoplastic used in corrosive material handling and chemical containment is polypropylene.

  • Homo-polymer polypropylene – offers high impact strength and rigidity, it is tough at room temperatures but can become brittle below -10 degrees C
  • Co-polymer polypropylene – tougher than homo-polymer and can be used in temperatures as low as –40 degrees C

Homo-polymer and co-polyer polypropylene are available in a range of sheet sizes, thicknesses and colours.
