These new manual travelling head press cutting machines provides a versatility rarely achieved by other press cutting styles, a travelling head machine is the natural progression if a swing arm press is too small or limited for an application.
This Travelling head die cutting press is available in 5 models, all have 180mm open daylight and 150mm stroke, available with 25 ton and 30 ton cutting force and various machine bed and cutting plate sizes, full details towards the bottom of this page.
Advantages
A travelling head die cutting press can process material in roll form as well as sheets, in their full width, without previously ranging down.
Larger head sizes and cutting forces will allow cutting of a wider range of materials, in single or multiple layers, with larger cutting dies, although small dies can be used equally as well.
Operation
The operator has only to position or feed the material onto the bed of the press and place the cutting tool. On activation, the press head travels across, descends under hydraulic power to cut the required shape or shapes. The press head moves away automatically after the cut so that the operator has perfect access and visibility to remove the cut pieces and re-position the tool for the next cut.
