Partwell are very proud to announce that Partwell plastic engineering won Apprentice Employer of the Year 2014 at the Lancashire, Cumbria and Liverpool Apprenticeship annual awards ceremony held last week.

We have been supporting Blackburn based Training 2000 apprenticeships scheme for the last four years, having recently employed our sixth apprentice. It was a surprise and honour to win the medium sized employer for the North West.

“Throughout Partwell there is a clear passion for sharing skills in our experienced staff, working with apprentices the team have created extensive process improvements to the business” explains Ashley Bradburn, Managing Director at Partwell engineering.

“We are constantly being surprised by the speed at which apprentices are able to begin adding to the bottom line and we see them as an essential part of our future culture” continues Ashley.

National Awards Ceremony in Partnership with City & Guilds

Partwell will now apply for the national awards in the category of best medium sized employer in the UK. It is an honour to be invited to apply for such an award.

Matthew Woodhouse – Regional Apprentice of the Year 2014

Not only did Partwell win an award, but our very own Matthew Woodhouse won the Intermediate Apprentice Achievement Award for the Lancashire, Cumbria and Liverpool area.

Matthew was Partwell’s very first apprentice, starting straight from Rhydding’s High School  Accrington, Matthew has four NVQ’s under his belt including level 2 and 3 in both business admin and customer service;

“Matthew is one of our rising stars at Partwell, over the last three years we have been focusing on company culture, Matthew has been nurtured by those around him and is the epitome of what we are looking for in any employee. He pushes his skills development which has a positive imact on the level of customer service the business provides” explains Jane McConnell, Office Manager.
